Community development

The proceeds of Njobvu Cultural Village are spent on development projects within the community.

In the last few years this resulted in:

  • 5 houses were built, for the very needy and elderly women who are giving shelter to orphans.
  • Maintenance has been executed to the nursery school.
  • Small local funds were provided.
  • The support of orphans from 7 villages that are participating in Njobvu Village with clothing, bedding, school materials and shelter.
  • The repair of several boreholes.
  • The support of old and needy people from 7 villages that are participating in Njobvu Village with clothing, bedding, soap and housing.
  • The support of the village committees that are responsible for the village graveyards with tools like hoes, shovels and ropes.
  • Provisioning of materials to villagers who are doing projects for common public (community) interest
At the moment Njobvu Village community projects are focussing on the training of communities on wildlife management and the starting of village savings and loan to all communities in the villages. The savings and loan projects are combined with a community based tree nursing and planting program and with a goat breeding program.
